The Snail Mail

In our post office
works a snail,
who takes forever
to deliver the mail.

He crawls around
at an awful pace,
says slow and steady
wins the race.

We try to be patient
whenever he’s late -
when snail mail comes,
It is well worth the wait.

Featured: crafting with my
nephews. We turned
cereal boxes, old magazines
 and odd bits of paper
into cards for the new year
and a  mail box to
put them in.

I love this so much! You are an amazing aunt. I would love to get mail delivered by the little snail. Cards by snail mail is the best.

Boa tarde, crianças adoram brincar com artesanato, fazer coisas com as mãos, bom alguns adultos como nos, também 🌹

So, so sweet. And you found a British stamp too! I think your post office has been modelling itself on Doar Yisrael!

As always, the poems and photos are absolutely lovely. You should turn your poems into a children's book. I enjoyed reading illustrated rhyming stories with my daughter at bedtime. Eventually, we knew the rhymes by heart, and my daughter, now grown up, still knows them.

This is so sweet, Amelie. And last week I made a mailbox from a cracker box for my two little granddaughters! They spent a happy couple of hours making mail for each other. Love the poem.

That's a lovely post! I really enjoyed the whimsical poem about the snail mail, and it's so inspiring to hear about the New Year's cards you made with your nephews from recycled materials. What a wonderful idea!

"when snail mail comes,
It is well worth the wait."
Some friends and I had been talking about that. Snail mail not in the form of invoices etc. definitely is well worth the wait and special! Very cute.

Your snail mail post is delightful, Amalia. I love the RED mailbox. Such sweet time doing craft projects with your nephews. You know, snail mail is a lost art, and it seems we don't do this anymore. I still love receiving cards and notes and letters in the mail, and I still love sending them. ; )

Happy first day of Autumn Amalia!

I miss being able to send mail. The postal system here is corrupt and very unreliable. So much has been lost or stolen over the years. :/
