you visit France
and want to have fun -
go south to the sun.
The blue sea will dazzle,
the pizza has basil,
a festival in Cannes,
and you can work on your tan.
A market, an old city,
the shops are so pretty,
the people are nice,
so - take my advice!

Thanks Bonnie! But that is not me, it's an unknown woman with the prettiest shopping bag in the market :-)
Yes, Cannes has a smashing harbor.
Everything is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo pretty!
Dazzling photos! I had to laugh at the first one...strawberries on sale in my area right now and my little grandson and I ate so many today it was ridiculous! Strawberries with milk, later on with shortcake, and then finished the bowl off plain...
I just love it when you do this! I can look and look and look. Immediately the polka dot basket/cart and the dress & shoes really pleased me. Then of course, the FOOD. Those tomatoes!!! Those pastries!!! Do you ever gain weight when you go there? Thanks for treating us.
P.S. I just noticed the French Breakfast Radishes. I always grow them in my veggie patch.
France is magical. We would love to return one day. The open air markets are the best. Thanks for sharing such a lovely post. Happy weekend.

omg, I missed this beautiful post. So gorgeous Amalia, beautiful pictures of beautiful France. I so love the bright pinks and reds, and you are an excellent photographer! xx
Oh, my! You really have a way of taking in breathtaking moments of your time away, and sharing them with us. Every photo captures the emotion of the moment... the flowers, the vegetables, the shopping, the food, so much to soak up and enjoy. South in France, I will most certainly remember that! And those baskets of strawberries, oh my goodness. I'm in love. My strawberries are about to be ready here, and I can't wait. What a neat idea to pack them in tissue. So pretty. Love it all!
Wow! All the sights, smells, sounds, scrumptious fare in your pics make for an amazing advertising campaign for the south of France! It's been a dream of mine to visit - one day, I hope! Thanks for sharing!

Yes, I love the South of France with the Mediterranean feel - it's much like California. Love that polka dot grocery cart:) Thank you for sharing the South with All Seasons! Have a beautiful rest of the week!
It's been many years, but we love the south of France. My husbands fav place of all, and certainly one of mine. Despite public concensus, we found the people to be friendly too!
Hi Amalia, It's Jeanie from Marmelade Gypsy, here! I saw your comment on Stacey's blog (Poofing the Pillows) that you were reading the newest Maisie Dobbs! Isn't that series terrific? I knew you were a kindred spirit. I've read them all and probably will again! This summer I'm reading Louise Penny and Deborah Crombie mystery series (I love series!) and trying to catch up with Cara Black's Aimee Leduc books set in Paris. And I can see you love France as much as I do. Well, I just had to say hello! Stop by Marmelade Gypsy sometime!
Thanks for the exciting journey of colorful France!
Gorgeous photos !!
Happy weekend !
I miss custard slice.
Here they are never so melt in the mouth as they were from the bakery in Switzerland!
Thanks for finding me, Jeanie, and stopping to say hello. Yes, I love Maisie, she is unique, and I love Gamashe as well. I've never tried Deborah Crombie - going to check her out right now :-)
Lucky her! I wish I was back there too :-)
Oh, this is wonderful, I would love to accept :-)
I almost asked the lady where I could buy that basket but couldn't figure out how to get it on the plane :-)
I cannot tell a lie, I did :-)
Having a chance
to go to France
makes me dance!
I wish! They would only sell the whole set.
Lucky you, Magali. And from what I see on your blog, Brittany is very very nice :-)
This is so kind, Tricia! Really warmed my heart. Thank you.
Thanks! Our strawberry season is sadly over, no other fruit photographs as well IMO :-)
Welcome back, Amalia! Love all your French travel shots, especially the one with all the teacups!
