Two feisty turtles
got into a fight,
and there was no telling
who was right.
To decide on the one
and also save face,
the two friends agreed
to have a race.
The first to the tree
would be the winner,
then off to the grass
for a spot of dinner.
So, who won this race
of grit and skill?
there is no winner,
they are at it still.

Love this so much, though it is hard to imagine feisty turtles :)
The turtles are adorable and the poem is so cute. It made me laugh.
Such cute turtles with a delightful story to go along with them. My youngest daughter once had a land tortoise as a pet. It loved being out in the garden.
Those turtles are so sweet. You are so creative with these toys and their accompanying poems. I wonder whether they will ever finish their race?
Best wishes
Ellie

Slow and steady! Haha...and your embroidery is lovely.
That's a cute poem, Amalia. Those competitive turtles. I especially like the bright and cheerful fabric they are laying on! ; )
very cute the two of them and the poem to go with them, they sure do have some pretty flowers to play among too!
Such cute turtles - hope they will one day know which one won the race.

I was always fascinated by turtles when I was a child! Your poem and turtles are so sweet, Amalia.
So cute!! As always, your designs remind me of my mom. She was such a talented seamstress...but she also loved to cook, so I at least inherited that trait!!! :)
I love the darling turtles and the poem is so sweet!
This is adorable. I love how it keeps you hanging, no winner, just endless turtle determination. The rhythm is sweet and playful, and the little garden moment makes it feel warm and alive.
how delightful - and funny!

My son and I went to a Reptile Show and we show a lot of turtles....Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Love both!
So cute!
Cute. Good representations of my two rescue turtles -- Tofu the Russian tortoise and Tutu the aquatic one. I wonder what they would do if they met each other? Tutu watches and follows Tofu from his see-through watery environment, but Tofu just wanders the balcony always in search of food or trying to climb the doorstep to come inside. :)
