The Race

Two feisty turtles
got into a fight,
and there was no telling
who was right.

To decide on the one
and also save face,
the two friends agreed
to have a race.

The first to the tree
would be the winner,
then off to the grass
for a spot of dinner.

So, who won this race
of grit and skill?
there is no winner,
they are at it still.

Such cute turtles with a delightful story to go along with them. My youngest daughter once had a land tortoise as a pet. It loved being out in the garden.

So cute!! As always, your designs remind me of my mom. She was such a talented seamstress...but she also loved to cook, so I at least inherited that trait!!! :)

This is adorable. I love how it keeps you hanging, no winner, just endless turtle determination. The rhythm is sweet and playful, and the little garden moment makes it feel warm and alive.

Cute. Good representations of my two rescue turtles -- Tofu the Russian tortoise and Tutu the aquatic one. I wonder what they would do if they met each other? Tutu watches and follows Tofu from his see-through watery environment, but Tofu just wanders the balcony always in search of food or trying to climb the doorstep to come inside. :)
