The Princess and the Pea

The little princess
had an awful night,
she tossed and turned
from left to right.

But tonight she
will sleep at ease -
she made the prince promise
to use mushy peas.

Oh, this is darling, Amalia. All those wee blankets, and that little tin for a bed as well. I used to love those little tins when I was a kid. I could imagine using them for so many things........and the Band Aid tins. ; )

Have a sweet June week.

I found this story quite disturbing when I was a kid, I think it was the "delicate princess" narrative that just felt a bit off. I wasn't even a little bit delicate as a child :-D
However I think your little princess with her comfy bed in a tin is super cute and your poem made me laugh out loud!

This is delightful Amalia :-) When I was a little girl I had a tiny doll that fitted in a matchbox. I made it into a bed for her, with sheets and a pillow.

haha for mushy peas! They should be banned imo tee hee. Hannah tosses and turns so much it drives me scatty when she sleeps on the couch with me. I pity any future prince in her life ;)

A very sweet display of this fairytale! It always fascinated me as a child as to how she would feel that pea under so many mattresses ;) Thank you for your birthday wishes!

Mushy peas, that shouldn't bother the little princess...especially in that comfy bed. Karen (Back Road Journal)

Hello dear Amalia,
and sorry for getting back to you so late. I currently have several projects that keep me busy and I rarely blog. But today I manage at least a few blog visits.
So adorable, your little princess bed arrangement and your poem to go with it. The idea of using mushy peas for the princess is awesome 😍
