The Clever Lion

There once was a lion
who enjoyed a nice rose,
and was usually careful
to protect his nose.

One day, near the bush,
he gave a big yawn
and felt on his nose
the prick of a thorn.

He pulled the thorn out
and smiled, as he should -
and said that in life
you get the bad with the good.

Featured: A clever new friend
and two lionesque nephews.

Well, you know how much I liked your poem, Amalia, cause the Rose is special to me. And Yes, it is beautiful, but its thorn also pricks us, just like the experiences we have in life. What a sweet and special message to us all, dear Amalia. This is a cute picture of your nephews. It sounds like you are close to them.

Ouch! A thorn in the nose is not very fun, but yes, we all must take the good with the bad in life. A cute little poem and lion, and super-cute little nephews with big, brown eyes! Hugs xo K

Oh my goodness, I feel your lion's pain. I took some thorns last month when pruning my rose bushes. Tiny little thorns can cause hurt for days, I've learned. I like your adorable little lion's attitude, and I expect he's all better by now. I always love your poems, Amalia. And your nephews are cuties. :)
