The Bunny and the Cheese

I once knew this bunny
happy and small,
but he didn't like carrots
and I mean - not at all!

So what did he like?
OK, I won't tease,
this little bunny
only ate cheese.

His mom didn't like
the smell in the house
and said: "really, my son,
you're not a mouse!"

The bunny said: "Mama,
relax, if you please,
let us not fight
over some cheese.

If you don't like my Swiss
because of the smell,
I'll switch to Cheddar,
it is orange as well."

My niece Dana is once again
an ambassador for Sew a Softie,
teaching the art of sewing to
a new generation of cute crafters.

Artistic ability obviously runs in the family. The bunny is adorable. Hamish isn't that keen on carrots either. I haven't tried him with cheese but he's very partial to anything green. xx

How wonderful you're teaching your niece to sew, Amalia. My mom was a very good seamstress, and made many of my clothes growing up. I can only sew a little, and please know how talented and creative you are. Love the little bunny, it's so cute. And your poem is delightful. : )

I love that the children are crafty too! How many of us had a felt 'softy' toy as a first sewing project? It's wonderful that the children are learning these skills and exercising their creativity. They are growing up too, looking so old!
