If I had wings or a hot air balloon
I'd fly myself up to the moon;
I'd sit on the moon so happy and tall
and everyone else would seem really small.

t-shirt yarn. My nephew Tomer
had an interesting purpose for them.

AMALIA! Hello dear lady! So nice to see you at my blog, and of course, I enjoy seeing you on Instagram! How I've always loved your freedom with words and sounds and your spinning of magical colors. Lovely as always to see you!
I like the baskets. I'm assuming the tshirts were torn into strips to make yarn?
I LOVE these, Amalia! And, I love how you echoed the colors of the lily, pad and water!! Fly me to the moon when you go! Tomer looks like he was having a good time with your beautiful baskets. ;) You brought a smile to my day. blessings ~ tanna
That's just like a boy to have fun with everything! Very beautiful colors! And it's so nice to stay busy making things. Happy weekend! Hugs, Diane
So cute! Of course a boy would see it as a hat. :)
Boys will be boys:) Charming trio!
Beautiful baskets!!!
You new baskets are beautiful. What are you using them for, except being a hat replacement :)?
Shortcut - I bought rolls of t-shirt yarn at the craft store.
The baskets were a gift to my SIL, we'll see what she comes up with :-)
Yes, do come to the moon, Tanna. We'll take some crackers in case it really is made of cheese.
Beautiful and colorful baskets!Your nephew is very creative!Such fun!
Such bold and vibrant colours in your baskets, Amalia; they're perfect for some New Year colour!
Happy 2018, my friend!

Love your capture of the water lily and your moon poem :)
Have a wonderful weekend.
The baskets are lovely. I like the colors.
The moon was beautiful the last few nights. The Full Wolf Moon. ;-)
So pretty!!
Thanks so much for stopping by!! I am so far behind in my return visits!! Happy New Year to you!!!
Hugs,

They are amazing, a beautiful storage solution.
Love the baskets and they make a very unique hat as well
Your baskets are great! My daughter, who crochets, made me a basket that corrals the grandchildren's wooden blocks. I like your use of old T-shirts.
I love the baskets! Is there a pattern you used?
Cheerful baskets! Always useful also. I was just making baskets too and doubting to use some colorful leftovers. Now I see your baskets, I'll give it a try!
PS: When will you be publishing a collection of your poems? That will be a bestseller! :-)
Lovely little baskets. I've not made any in a while.
Oh wow! they are great

Lovely and colorful baskets! Your nephew has put them to a good use:)
Hello, your baskets are so cute. I love the shot of your nephew. Cute poem! Enjoy your day and the new week ahead!
The baskets are really fun and bright but boy, this morning what really resonates most is your poem! To the moon!
What a clever nephew you have. Happy New Year Amalia!
Love your colorful baskets!
Amalia!
What a wonderful treat to see these whimsical and whirly colorful baskets! Your playful and inspiring talents always delight me!

Wonderful baskets Amalia, I love that t-shirt yarn, I need to give it a go.
They are so colourful Amalia, I love them.
My good wishes to you and yours for 2018.
All the best Jan
Darling baskets, Amalia. Your talents are never ending, my friend. Tomer is a cutie pie. xo ♥
Tomer looks pretty cute with his "repurposed" basket hat. Beautiful baskets. I like the poem too, but if I had wings or a balloon (or a magic carpet) I'd fly home for a quick mid-winter visit.
These are wonderful! I love the bright colours together, they really work.
I have no clue how you make them but I respect your know-how / love! :)
The basics are too cute, I have not tried crocheting with t-shirts, so pretty and colorful, leave it to a boy to use it as a hat :)
Cute poem!
Beautiful baskets! But it can be put to good use as a hat too!
How talented you are in both writing and crafts! Those baskets are wonderful.
Your talents abound dear friend! I love your poetry, and the darling baskets/hats! Upside or downside they are very useful I would think :) Hugs to you!
Love your poem! What will you use the baskets for?
The baskets you crocheted are so nice and colorful. That must been a lot of work to make and your did a great job.
Thanks for stopping by and wishing you a Happy New Year. Thanks for sharing at Cooking and Crafting with J & J.
Enjoy the week.
Julie
These are so lovely! It is on my list to learn to crochet!
Great looking and practical baskets you made! Haha, that is what kids do - they even put real buckets on their head:)Thank you for showing this to All Seasons! Hope you had a lovely December month, and wishing you a belated happy New Year:)
Don't know if I told you, but last month I started WEEKEND JOURNAL PAGE (first, only once a month -the one for January started January 5th) for how it's going with an art project - does not need to be finished -it is for anything that turns into art -so also knitting and working with fabric without a pattern or instructions). The different thing for blogspot-ters is that you link with a perma link in the comment. The title is 'Weekend Journal Page, Jan 5" - I would love to see one of your projects there:)
Gorgeous!
These baskets are lovely and interesting, and the photo of the water lily is so peaceful.
I’d like to sit on the moon as well… :-)
Have a great week, dear Amalia! Hugs!
no, sorry, I made it up while working
ha ha, young boys find an alternative use for most things! Beautiful baskets :-)
so beautiful Amalia, love your work !! xoxox
Love the pretty baskets/hats! :) Wonderful poem - the moon was so beautiful last week. Sending hugs xo Karen
Cute! Great pictures, too. Thanks!
T-shirt yarn? I wish I was crafty so I could enjoy such things, but I am happy seeing what you create!
Happy New Year!
Olá, trabalho criativo, as cestas sãp lindas.

Your nephew is starting a new fashion trend! What lovely baskets and I can think of a dozen uses for them - other than hats!
LOL, a dual purpose basket! So cute!
LOVELY baskets! Love them!
Have a great weekend and take care now...
Love from a grey Sweden and Titti
Does that mean you have to cut a T shirt into strips - or is it a ready to use ball of yarn?
Hello Amalia,
thanks so much for your lovely comment on my blog!
Nice baskets in wunderful colours!
Have a nice weekend,
Christine
Absolutely great looking! T-shirt yarn is so much fun! Anna x

Great project! Thanks for sharing at Home Sweet Home!
Your baskets are so beautiful. A red water lily flower looks dreaming.
The baskets are so fun and your nephew made me laugh! Thanks for sharing with SYC.

Nice baskets! I love your poem, Amalia:)
I too would love to sit on the moon. Indeed that would be the best fun. Gorgeous baskets and gorgeous hats. =)
I love this! The photos and poem!
Amalia, the basket are so lovely and happy! Your nephew looks rather handsome wearing one!
Wow, you have had a lovely crafty time! Your potholder and embroideries are lovely and your crocheted baskets gorgeous. One of those has been on my to do list for such a long time. I even bought some cotton on a trip to Bath, but it's still in my yarn basket! Love the photo of your nephew! xx
How fun and whimsical!
They're so colourful. Pretty and useful at the same time.
Amazing T-shirt yarn!
Very beautiful colors and lovely Tomer!!
I would love to sit on the moon, too :)

Love the things you made,greetings,Joan
Thank you, I do like surprises... :-)
A bestseller! Wow! Fingers crossed... :-)
I found it very hard on the hands compared with ordinary yarn but quickly done
I do like the idea of a magic carpet, very exotic :-)
They have already gone to a better home, they were made for a gift :-)
I know people who cut t-shirts into strips and use them for yarn. You can also buy it ready made at the craft shop, which is what I did as this was my first time. I do have a pile of sheets and shirt waiting for recycling so I hope to make my own next time.
Great work and happy colours! Love it!
Titti
OH I am SO jealous of your baskets! I've tried making them but haven't succeeded thus far. Yours are beautiful and so well made.
Very interesting.
I have cut old t-shirts and crocheted potholders, but the result wasn't especially pretty. Probably the yarn you can buy is much more regular and neat. :)
Gorgeous photos!
Oooh, aren't those baskets cool. And a very clever little nephew!
it is the classic conflict - recycling and using what you have vs. the shiny tempting stuff in the craft store :-)
The baskets are super cute! I love how kids find clever uses for everyday items like them.
Sorry to be late commenting. I’m not actually, because I commented ages ago but looking through all the comments again, I’m not there! A few of my comments didn’t work a few weeks back - so annoying because you don’t know when they haven’t worked!!
Great rhyme, Amalia!
Love the baskets, they are so colourful!
Tomer’s headwear looks very striking!
Hugs,
Barbara xx
Olá Amália! que belos cestos! Suas fotos são divinas! Abraços!

I love this sort of basket. The perfect mixture of beauty and usefulness. Thanks for joining in my new monthly link party.
Hahaha! One more reason to love kids. Your baskets are beautiful. Hugs.
These colorful gems remind me of the sweet baskets made by many indigenous people. Love your nephew!
Just to let you know, in case you haven't seen, I featured your baskets on Ginx Woolly Linx https://ginxcraft.blogspot.co.uk/2018/01/ginx-woolly-linx-party-february.html
