A very smart princess who knows how to take care of herself. I miss snow, too. We didn't get any this past winter. But I won't think about it until November comes along - too busy enjoying the delights of summer now! I hope you show us the softie.

I like her. You remind me that I need to make a softie doll for my grandson (5 months). They are so nice for little hands to hold. I do not miss snow. I'm just barely thawed out.

I'm looking for a good idea for a softie for a baby boy. I'll look to you for ideas.

handmade by amalia said...

Thanks for visiting me, Anne.

handmade by amalia said...

Thanks! I'm still debating whether to use to gingham for the back of the softie. I think it may be too much and I should go for plain.

handmade by amalia said...

I seem to have shocked everyone :-) We don't get any snow, but we do get a long hot summer. I just didn't think that the heat it would begin in May.

handmade by amalia said...

I'm glad you found me too :-) What a nice message.

handmade by amalia said...

I often do but not this time. My niece found this drawing years ago and we used to make dozens of copies and paint her dress in different colors and patterns. It was our 'thing'. So I'm making her the softie as a special gift.

Thank you Dore. Your blog is so lovely, I'm glad we found each other.

That's a beautiful princess! And what a good idea to sew "pearls" on her clothes. They add charm to an already elegant embroidery. :-)
