A beautiful embroidered dress for a smart princess.
A very smart princess who knows how to take care of herself. I miss snow, too. We didn't get any this past winter. But I won't think about it until November comes along - too busy enjoying the delights of summer now! I hope you show us the softie.
Haha, a smart princess indeed
She's cute and the poem is humorous. xoxo Su
It's lovely and I can't wait to see the softie doll :)
What a delightful poem, Amalia. I hope you are enjoying this month of May.

Nice needlework for a princess. Looking out for the princess. Happy weekend!
I like her. You remind me that I need to make a softie doll for my grandson (5 months). They are so nice for little hands to hold. I do not miss snow. I'm just barely thawed out.
I a glad the princess was wearing thermals and didn't get cold! Cutie!
Your embroidery is amazing and looking forward to seeing it as a doll! Enjoy the weekend!
Oh my goodness, how adorable is this? I love your poem and your work is beautiful!

Very pretty and I love the poem that goes along with it, Amalia! Love it paired with the gingham fabric.
She's adorable and so clever :) I don't miss the snow at all because we have so much here in winter.

Such a sweet post...and adorable little princess!
So beautiful! You are very talented. :)
so cute! Love it! Thanks for your visit.
amalia.... I am so going to enjoy getting to know you.... Love the folkart feel to your dressed in her winter warmth under her dress... I love the natural tones to your theme of colours, fits my home designs perfectly.
I went through you later postings and travels, what a wonderful world of inspiration, art, and the grace of beauty.

I do love a Princess that packs her thermals! Beautiful work Amalia xx
She sure is sweet!

Hahaha. Very clever. . .both the princess and the poem. Well done. :)
She is indeed a modern princess and knows exactly what she wants!
Do they end up together?
There's something to be said about a princess wearing thermals. Please don't say you miss snow until maybe December ;)
I loved your summing up of your visits to Cannes & London! Your photos are amazing, and make me want to go on an overseas vacation SOOOOOOooooooo badly!!
Wendy
This is so cute. :)
Thanks for joining the Cooking and Crafting with J & J Link Up!
I love her happy eyes
I'll try! My niece is waiting to snatch her away as soon as she's ready :-)
I'm looking for a good idea for a softie for a baby boy. I'll look to you for ideas.
Thanks for visiting me, Anne.
Thanks! I'm still debating whether to use to gingham for the back of the softie. I think it may be too much and I should go for plain.
I seem to have shocked everyone :-) We don't get any snow, but we do get a long hot summer. I just didn't think that the heat it would begin in May.
I'm glad you found me too :-) What a nice message.
I often do but not this time. My niece found this drawing years ago and we used to make dozens of copies and paint her dress in different colors and patterns. It was our 'thing'. So I'm making her the softie as a special gift.
Thank you Dore. Your blog is so lovely, I'm glad we found each other.
Thank you, Sarah, for the visit and the lovely comments.
Thank you Maggie. To have one new friend is so nice, but two of you is a real treat :-)
Thank you Akiko, it was fun to make.
Thank you Teri. This is a special message indeed.

I think they might! Handmade is an optimistic kind of blog :-)

Amazing stitching and I look forward to her being a doll!!
She is quite a creation... You miss snow? Perhaps your next visit could be to New Zealand or something. Who has snow just now besides Antartica or Colorado? =D
Love it Amalia, great to reconnect, and yes, I miss the snow too and we have barely begun the summer!
Hi friend! Just wanted to pop in and let you know that this lovely post was featured at Roses of Inspiration this week :) Hugs to you!
And May was a hot one! Hope June will be nicer. Nice to hear from you, Sara.
Thank you Stephanie, how very nice and I do appreciate the support. A big hug.
What a very sensible princess!
That's a beautiful princess! And what a good idea to sew "pearls" on her clothes. They add charm to an already elegant embroidery. :-)
