Morning Walk in Isfiya

Isfiya is a Druze village not far from my home
and one of my favorite places to visit.

Located at the very top of Mount Carmel
it has stunning views and on a clear day
(and this was not!) you can see forever.

What I like best about the place is its relaxed and
old-fashioned air, its traditional life-style.

And how nice and welcoming the people are.
As a community, the Druze pride themselves on hospitality
and everyone I've met lives up to this tradition.

These photes were taken with my new camera.
I just love it so much.

Oh Israel! Beautiful, beautiful!
I love how there are potted plants everywhere amongst the pipes, buckets, and oxygen tanks(?). Very vintage looking. What kind of camera did you choose? How exciting!

These are gas tanks. Most people here cook on gas and we have the tanks outside the home for safety. I got another Canon, I'm a Canon sort of gal, but this is my first DSLR and there is a lot to learn.

Hi Amelia! Thanks for stopping by my blog - I simply love yours! It was wonderful to take the tour of the quaint town with you, and I loved the simple touches of beauty - outdoor pots, railings, lots of color - so fun! I too am a Canon gal, just purchased my first DSLR last fall, and am in love too! Lots to learn, but it is so much better than the powershot I had before. Hugs to you today!

What a beautiful view! That village reminded me of villages in my home-country (Bosnia) I'm sure there were similar influences throughout the history. Thank you for sharing at Thursday Favorite Things.
