The Friendship Bench

In our park
there is a friendship bench,
so chic and neat
you’d think it was French.

A sweet little doll
sat at its end,
she’s new in the area,
in need of a friend.

Along came another
doll wearing blue,
she passed by the bench
and sat down too.

They started talking
and after a while,
I’m sure that I saw
the new doll smile.

The little bench and
paper house were made by
my SIL Mirit.

Oh Amalia, this is so sweet. As always, you write such beautiful poem and the little dolls are adorable. How clever you are to make them from wine corks.
PS I have closed my red bird blog, and have started a new one called Camellia Cottage. Hope you can drop by as I start over. xxx P.

What darling scenes you've created with your handmade art, and that of your SIL's. Wouldn't it be great if the leaders of our world could sit on a friendship bench and just chat? Everyone needs friends.

Everyone should have a friendship bench to while away the day and meet new friends that wander by. Oh, and share with sweet pups, too. The pup is a sweetie. A day with one of your sweet and lyrical poems is always a beautiful one, dear Amalia.
