I was playing a game
with my brother Finn.
He said he didn't cheat,
just "helped himself win."
He looked so smug
as he finished the game,
I got mad and called him
a very bad name.

Siempre hay algún espabilado que utiliza alguna treta para ganar....😂

It sounds a bit like the games I used to play with my brothers as a kid (they were a good deal older and hated losing) 😂
Glad to hear the real game was played in harmony!
I love your edition of the old traditional game. I love the phrase "just helped himself win". hehe - much nicer way to say it.
What a nice photos!
Lovely game and verse. I had a couple of sons who helped themselves win.
Lovely photos and wonderful poetry!
He didn't cheat, he just helped himself win. That made me laugh. Too cute.
The cutest board game ever :)
Homemade games. How fun!
What a sweet game. He "helped himself [to] win". Brilliant!
He helped himself to win on a super home made game:)
Hello Amalia,
The game looks fun, someone has to win. Cute poem.
Take care, have a great week ahead.
Sounds just like a sibling!!! I was the oldest of 4, so I was probably the perpetrator, LOL!!!
that is so clever and so cool too, nice to see them playing games!
Dear Amalia 🥰
You are such an inspiration 👌😍
Are saying you designed this game all by yourself? Wow sounds amazing 🤗👍👍👍
It looks very interesting 🤗
Hats off to your wisdom my friend 🥰
I also love how your niece and nephews play with real things instead video games like most children of their age which is very upsetting actually
Hee Hee, reminds me of a time my uncle Phil got so upset he tossed the board game in the air!!!
That's such a cute version of Snakes & Ladders💗💗💗
I love this.. this is the cutest!
What a memory this brought back. I was an only child and I used to draw board games on cardboard and play them, me vs an imaginary playmate (unless an actual friend was around and wanted to play, which wasn't that common). That board game is so sweet looking.
How fun to make your own game- looks so pretty ! I like the phrase in the poem that says, "helped himself win." - very clever...
Such a good game.
Lovely pictures and poem.
All the best Jan
I like your version of Snakes and Ladder better than the original game!
A fun game! Love the poem!
haha, it is only cheating if you get caught!! Lovely handmade game :)
Yes, I know ... I have a sister, it was the same game indeed 😄👏😀
Lovely scene with your children.
The game looks lovely! And the poem made me smile.
When Cam was 6, playing a game with him was fine -- till he was losing and all of a sudden the rules changed! I think he's out of that stage now, thank goodness! I love your sweet gameboard. It's delightful!
Adorable! And I love that your girls have the opportunity to engage in imaginative play.

...a fun game that could never end!
Ha Ha yep perfect for brothers and sisters playing a game. Lots of work in that sweet game. You are so talented. Always love to see your creative heart at work. Have a wonderful week. Hugs. Kris
It reminds me of playing games with my brother growing up. He always cheated. He'd sit on cards, etc. and try to invent new rules that helped him. Lots of laughing involved.
Probablemente sea mayor que tu en edad y ya se conoce todos los trucos posibles para ganar.
El juego es un buen aprendizaje para la vida.
Saludos.
Oh no! Well, if he didn't get caught, we will have to go with his "helped himself win". The board is amazing! I love it!

as a kid, I always loves board games
Such a cute poem.
Very cute !
Such a cute poem. It reminds me a bit of a Shel Silberstein verse.
Boys will be boys, haha.
That is the sweetest board game and poem!
Cute photos Amalia and lovely poem. Thank you and I wish you a happy day.
Olä! Brincávamos muito com esses jogos antes dos celulares, era uma reunião de família. Hugs
Cute. Nice upcycle. My brother never liked losing games when he was a kid and would always throw the biggest fits when he did.
Helped himself win! What a cute chutes and ladders homemade set!

"Helped himself win"—that's a brilliant way to put it! And the cereal box Snakes & Ladders is the cutest game board ever. So relatable!
So cool!
"He didn't cheat, he 'just helped himself win'" is the most perfect, most sibling phrase I have ever heard! 😂 That made me smile so much—your little poem is absolutely charming and so relatable.
And I love the featured craft! Turning a cereal box into a gorgeous, homemade Snakes & Ladders game is such a brilliant idea for upcycling. It looks fantastic! I'm glad the real game ended in harmony. 😊 xo
What a cute game. Love the upcycling and aren't little brothers quite devilish sometimes? Mine was not above cheating at all. HA HA
I grew up with a brother and this verse sounds very familiar! I like the upcycled game! Thank you for linking up and have a wonderful weekend.
This is so cute!!
