A Dark Tale

Last night I dreamed
that I lived in deep space
I played with the stars,
that was some race.

But then I got sucked
into a very dark hole,
it didn't end well for me
and I mean - not at all!

Then, in my dreams,
I lived under the sea,
it was beautiful there
with so much to see

Until a shark appeared
and boy, was he fast
I have to tell you -
that I did not last.

I woke up to find
I've survived all my dreams,
convinced that our world
is not as bad as it seems.

Amalia - how wonderful is this? I remember when our parents would give us shoeboxes as "toys" - it brought out the creativity in us. I miss playing with young kids - if allowed, they have such vivid imaginations! Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment!

I really like to see the boys enjoying creative toys! They have a talented Aunt -- lucky for them. I enjoyed your poem -- my husband dreams in stories and sometimes shares them -- yours reminded me of some of his creative plots. My dreams are quite boring compared to his -- and yours!
