You make the sweetest crafts. I love this gentle piece. And your poem. You know what, I'm 63 years old, but I can still remember wanting to cry and go home when I stayed over at my grandma's house as a little girl. There is no place like home with momma at that time of day with its familiar routines to comfort.
Your little sleeping bag and boy are so, so precious! And the poem---I can't tell you how many times my young daughters had friends sleep over, and then they wanted to go home in the middle of the night! The worst was when they had friends up at the lake two hours away! Those poor parents!!!
Oh, that is so poignant Amalia. I remember my children going to their first sleepovers, and then feeling shy and missing home. What a sweet way you have to express it so beautifully.
Just darling...and I was just telling my daughters that you need to write a book! I wish I knew a publisher, you deserve to be in print!! Hoping you're well. xxoo
That one eye above the blanket does it! Too cute, Amalia. Am glad our grands were all too happy to have a whole room for themselves at Nana and opa's sleepover:) Many thanks for sharing this little incident with All Seasons, and have a great week. The same to you, keep healthy and happy! Jesh
aww... sweet little buddy peeking from the covers.
All but two of our 13 grandchildren frequently come for sleepovers that last for a day to even a week. But we have two granddaughters that just aren't comfortable being away from home. They are cousins from different families. They try but usually change their mind.
Interesting how different and individual kids can be. We never pressure them but love on them for their uniqueness.

I don't know which is cuter. The poem or your new friend tucked in his sleeping bag. :) Who would love that little one?!?
So cute and so true! We are going to try our youngest grandson for a sleepover soon and I hope he doesn't get cold feet before bedtime. :)
