A Bear on a Mission

A little bear has
set himself a mission -
he was going to climb
to the top of a cushion.

The dolls were concerned,
perhaps he should stop,
but the bear was going
all the way to the top.

He packed his bag
with a drink and a snack
and hoped they would last
until he got back.

He bid farewell
to the dolls and the toad,
did a little warm-up
and hit the road.

After two minutes
the bear had enough;
I'll say this for the dolls -
they tried not to laugh.

and an old friend.

Had a dream about a black bear last night. It was trying to chase me at the beach on a lake. I kept backing up an yelling at it to stop. Good thing in dreams bears fade away without harm. - Margy

Love this little bear who had these "ideas" that some to nothing! They remind me of some of my ideas. Am lucky not to have these dolls around, because they would be laughing a lot! Your talent is to bring an idea through a poem in a way that is innocent and palatable for people. Love this post you share with All Seasons, Have an inspiring week, Jesh

Oh bless him, at least he had a go and I'm so pleased he has good friends who support him!
The fact he took food reminds me of Winnie the Pooh and the provisions he and his friends took on their expedition or Jane Hissey toys who enjoyed a Winter Picnic. That was one of my kids favourite books and we had a large number of winter picnics as a result!

So gorgeous - poem and pillow.

I love the golden sparks of yellow, orange and red dotted through - lots of variegated yarns used I suspect? The perceived randomness of the colours gives your cushion a sense of brightness and vitality. Lovely!
