The Brave New Year

The brave new year
came through the door
and asked us all
if we'd like to do more.

We searched our souls,
went deep and wide -
to the hopes that we hold
the dreams that we hide.

The 'same old' is always
a bit of a bore,
there is no doubt about it -
we'd love to do more!

"Let's all take a chance!"
said the brave new year,
"everything is possible
now that I'm here."

Featured: I joined a pile
of old scarves into a
winter blanket.

What a wonderful afghan Amalia! Just love the mix-up of all different grannies!

Love your blanket. I haven't done any crocheting in such a long time. A long time ago I thought I would make a granny square blanket. I got about a dozen squares made and got bored with it and gave up.

Happy New Year Amalia. Your poem is just perfect for the start of the new year. And the rug is the most fun I have ever seen in afghans - fantastic! xx

I love your big granny (scarf) blanket - so colourful and it looks scrumtiously cosy! What is your favourite stitch for joining the pieces?
It's funny that your poem is about doing 'more' in 2020 because I am so worn out by too much over the past 3 years that my goal for 2020 is to slow tha pace and do 'less'!
