Time Flies

You don't have to be
especially wise
to recognize that
time simply flies.

Have you lost a day,
a week, a term?
I think there's a time thief
but I've yet to confirm.

Featured: Summer is here already
and I've yet to show you
my new-ish winter blanket.
Time flies.

Days just drift by so quickly, the blanket is lovely:)

Time does fly. It seems to pick up speed every year too. That blanket is so pretty. A long time ago I thought I would make a granny square blanket. I made about a dozen squares and then got bored with it. I never did finish.

Great poem and I couldn't agree more about the time thief! Thanks for coming by my blog. I'm trying to figure out why I'm not getting comments from Blogger but I noticed you came by! Thanks!

Time flies you say, indeed it does
I’m all behind and all because
of hanging bunting and pretty lights
that light the garden on the darkest nights
planting plants, mowing lawns
so much work it makes me yawn
going out, painting again
and trying to catch up with my dolls house plans!
Your blanket is lovely xx

That is a clever idea, Betty, we could share. Six months at either side of the globe, I'm sure the blanket would enjoy the travel.

Amelia - I never travel without a blanket even in Summer, you just never know when it will be called for. One overzealous chilly blast of an air con unit and we're all saying where's my jumper, even in our tropical life! Yours is beautiful for sure!
