It Might As Well Be Spring

It is a cold and rainy today
but in my mind it is spring and I am having
a picnic in a green meadow.
On my new picnic blanket.
Butterflies and games and finger sandwiches.
You are all invited.

Featured: my work-in-progress
gigantic picnic blanket.
It will be some time until it is done
but my nephew Noam is already enjoying it.

Hello, your picnic blanket is cute. And little Noam is adorable. We may have some snow this afternoon, it is not spring yet. Have a happy day and weekend!

Your blanket is like colorful little wildflowers bursting forth in a meadow. It will be lovely for picnicking but in the meantime Noam is putting it to good use.

I love your picnic WIP. What a great way to use leftover yarn -- it makes your blanket look so festive and fun. I can only imagine the great conversations you'll have with friends over sandwiches and tea (do you drink tea) or lemonade.

I finally got a new post up, so I'm enjoying some free time come and see what you are up to.

Happy day, Amalia!

You nephew Noam is such a willing subject to pose for you! Love the patterns this yarn makes that you show in your second capture.Yeah, I KNOW what you're talking about, a few years ago I knitted one and crocheted the other adult-size blankets for 2 of my youngest grands - I think it took me half a year. After that I stayed off the breinaalden for a while:):) Many thanks for linking to All Seasons and wishing you a productive week (much speed in crocheting, lol).

Angie said...

What large eyes you have, Noam my dear!

This brings to mind many rainy days indoors when it took a little imagination to keep the kids entertained. Of course, I don't have your talent with yarn, but I could do wonders with a few cardboard boxes!!!
