A monkey asked a giraffe
to a game of basketball,
the giraffe had to a laugh -
"you've noticed I am tall?"
The monkey didn't care:
"I never miss a trick,
you may be tall and fair,
but I am very quick".
The giraffe again had to laugh:
"your arms are quite long
but you're just not tall enough
and you know that I'm not wrong".
The monkey was having fun:
"don't you worry, my dear,
after the game is done
I'll let you buy me a beer".
It looked as if the debate
could last the whole long day
but then the ball had enough
and gently rolled away.

You write such fun poems! I love the balls, too.
Such perfect stitches. Mine tend to not be so neatly done!
I love making things, but often don't know what to do with them afterwards. What do you do with the things you make, and what will you do with these softie balls (and what other things might you do with them if you weren't doing that thing!)? Many thanks!
love it! Thanks for visiting my blog. Nice to 'meet you' :)
I like your softie balls :) So pretty
Love your poem and your crochet is so perfectly done! Xox

Boa semana!!
A long time ago I used to love crocheting those granny squares. After seeing your cheerful soft balls, I might have to find my crochet hook and colourful yarn. Loved your poem!
Wishing you a beautiful day...

Very cute, Amalia. I wonder if you compose the poem in your head while you're working on your creations, or if you sit down later and they come to you. Hugs.
Ha! The ball has the right idea! ;) Really cute creations.
Thank you Lovely Lady

Those are so cute, I just went to a baby shower yesterday and this would have been a neat gift to give to the mother to be :)
Your little story is so cute too, I was just waiting for the monkey to do a slam dunk and surprise the giraffe :)
Have a great week!
Funny :-) really like your blog style!
And I love those cubes, especially the idea of the contrasting colour you sewed them together with.
I wonder how you stuffed them, is there a soft cube inside?
This is a magical poem, as are your blocks!
Thank you for your visit!

My daughters would love those balls!
Love your creativity!
Such talent in rhyming and in knitting or crocheting. I am not sure which it is, since I am terrible at both.
You are a crochet artist, Amalia! Very pretty ! As always I love your poems!
What a beautiful poem, Amalia. You are a great artist — these blocks look stunning.
Love those sofite balls. I thought they were dice at first. They'd make fun blocks too.
Just leave the squabblers be - the ball had the right idea! Very cute softie blocks - I made something similar from squares of felted sweaters. They were easy for the little ones to hang onto. Have a wonderful day.
What a great gift those would be for a baby (or for a monkey or a giraffe!). You are such fun~

I love how creative you are and everything turns out so perfectly!
You write the cutest poetry in the nicest way! I had to giggle at the monkey and elephant fighting over a useless proposition ... your softie balls are just the cutest, and I hope they put the end to many a summer argument :)
These are lovely toys and I know a couple of granddaughters who would love them. Adorable poem too! Have a great weekend Amalia :)
