Your photos made me feel as if I walked the streets of London with you, admiring the many and small details and delicacies! Oh my the colors, the sights, the smells and the sounds - wow! Beautiful pictures all of them, but I have to admit that orange and plum cake really did catch my fancy :) And how lovely to hear music being sung by people with all their hearts - you could see their heartfelt emotion on their faces as they sang. What treats and delights you must be enjoying :) Blessings and hugs to you today ... and more pictures, pretty please :)

I was interested in that myself... they didn't give out the recipe :-)

I did have the apple strudel. It was delicious! I'll have a go at trying to recreate it at home.

It really was a wonderful visit. We've already decided to mix old favorites with some new things, but didn't expect so many lovely surprises at every corner, like those gospel singers or the cakes :-)

I'm so jealous! I visited friends in London for a week back in 1992. It was a blast, and I've always wanted to go back there. WE went to Ireland for our honeymoon in 1995, and have always said we want to go back to Ireland, London and Scotland. 20 years later and we still haven't made that trip! I'm glad you had a good time. I would have gained about 10 pounds!

Lovely photo's. I last visited London in February when I took my daughter for her 21st birthday. We've decided we should make this an annual event.

A wonderful collection of images, Amalia. They're all great, but I think my favorite is the one of the street musicians. It makes me wish I could turn up the sound and hear them. :) A great capture. xxx ~ Nancy

I will! I've been a bit busy with work but I have much to share.

This old church was just by the hotel, we saw it every day. It is a grand old building.

handmade by amalia said...

I did indeed try some pastries! But I walked them off, believe me. We walked a LOT.

handmade by amalia said...

A whole summer in Greenwich! Lucky lucky you, Chrstine. Is this where your sons live?

handmade by amalia said...

The weather was almost too nice! They kept promising rain but it hardly ever came.

handmade by amalia said...

You wouldn't have gained anything! This city invites you to walk from morning till night.

handmade by amalia said...

Now this sounds like a good idea!

handmade by amalia said...

I've been a number of time and so far spring is my favorite! But we were lucky, it can rain a lot.

If anyone would know how to make them, it would be you! I must track down a recipe.

Lovely to see London through your eyes, you make it look so much more attractive than I find it when we visit! I guess it's just a matter of looking for the beautiful, rather than rushing around.
