The Monkey and the Giraffe

A monkey asked a giraffe
to a game of basketball,
the giraffe had to a laugh -
"you've noticed I am tall?"

The monkey didn't care:
"I never miss a trick,
you may be tall and fair,
but I am very quick".

The giraffe again had to laugh:
"your arms are quite long
but you're just not tall enough
and you know that I'm not wrong".

The monkey was having fun:
"don't you worry, my dear,
after the game is done
I'll let you buy me a beer".

It looked as if the debate
could last the whole long day
but then the ball had enough
and gently rolled away.

Featured: two softie balls
made from yarn scraps
waiting for the arguments to end
and the games begin.

  3. I love making things, but often don't know what to do with them afterwards. What do you do with the things you make, and what will you do with these softie balls (and what other things might you do with them if you weren't doing that thing!)? Many thanks!
