Ten things I've learned from the company of children:
1. Many of life's problems can be sorted with something sweet and a cuddle.
2. Sharing may well be caring but it is best not to touch other people's toys.
3. The doctrine of The Other Cheek does not apply to the playground:
if they push you off the swing, you're gonna push them right back.
4. If you want to see kids disappear in a hurry - ask them to tidy up.
5. Words are more than their meanings.
Children still look at words with fresh eyes and discover amazing things.
6. A screen, any screen, will always be more interesting than anything else in the room.
7. No task is more difficult than washing your hands.
8. Affection should be earned, forgiveness should be given easily.
9. If you say it - mean it.
10. All stories should have happy endings, morals are optional

ReplyDeleteReally children teach us the simplest things.
A grace the set of dolls.
Exactly! It is my nature to complicate so I do enjoy the simplicity of children.
DeleteThose little angels are fabulous, very clever idea. Have a good week Diane
ReplyDeleteThe blond angel cracks me up - she looks so feminine:) the other sock angels are cute too:) Can tell it's easy for you to understand a child's mind! Yes, nothing is as difficult to wash one's hands:):)
ReplyDeleteMany thanks Amalia for linking all this cuteness up to All Seasons! Have a lovely week, Friend.
Great post and all true of course! Jo xxx
ReplyDeleteVery wise words about children.
ReplyDeleteOne other way to make children disappear is to grab a washcloth to wash faces. They run!
Love your cute sock angels.
And if you want screaming - threaten to wash their hair!
DeleteThe sock angels are simply precious!! So is your little guy! I find that my grandchildren make me see with a new eye, a child's eye. They love texture and sound and taste. I have time now to enjoy these little things, more than I did when I was raising my own. Having 4 children under the age of 10 when I was just thirty-one was a very hectic time!!! ;-D
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for such a very nice comment of my blog today, my friend. It really lifted my spirits!

Adorable dolls and words Amalia!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe things children teach us, should be put into laws ;-)
ReplyDeleteAnd I adore your sock dolls!! They must be good for hours of playing!
I once made a sock doll for my daughter when she was little, and she loved it. He was given the name 'sock doll' and was used to sleep with, to throw and laugh how he fell down, to pet the cats with or to do a puppet-show with :-)
Sweet memories that come into my mind thank's to your blogpost :-)
I love toys that stimulate the imagination. My nephew also used them for puppet shows as they are tiny and perfectly suit his little hands. Thanks for the lovely comment and for sharing these memories.
DeleteGorgeous images and words, Amalia!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment (on my bird post). I know Israel is an amazing place to see migratory birds, but you must have very many lovely birds wintering there as well?!
Very few birds stay here. Our winter is mild but still not warm enough for them. Having made the journey, they may as well go the 'short' distance to Africa.
DeleteAs crianças sempre têm muito a nos ensinar.
ReplyDeleteLindos dedoches!!!
E belo posto!
Abraços e feliz dia!
I love it. #4 just made me laugh out loud!
