the long bright day
when things are done,

Very pretty and they will look lovely. I would love to make little candle cosy covers but I am always worried that cotton will scorch or catch fire because it is flammable. I would love to know what you think and about your own experiences.
ReplyDeleteI've used them quite a few times with no problems. The glass shields the fabric and it doesn't even heat up. I only use them when tea lights.
DeleteLovely idea! So cute :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great saturday...
Warm hug from Titti
You're such a smartie. I like!
ReplyDeleteYour needlework is incredible Amalia...how about a 'night' shot?

ReplyDeleteCandles with flickering flames are always appreciated by me - even better when there is a cute little bird on the outside!
ReplyDeleteWren x
Alas, the bird is of the migratory kind and has flown away...

Amalia, your embroidery makes my heart sing. I haven't done any needlework in so long. What joy I remember as a young woman stitching little pictures. Your poem is so sweet just like your embroidery. Indeed the world is full of wonderful things. After the tragic event yesterday, my heart needed some beauty and innocence.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a kind and beautiful message, Bonnie. Thank you!
DeleteWe sure need light in our world right now, Amalia. The embroidered candle holders are sweet. The next time you light one, think of your blog friend, Sheri, from across the world. : )

ReplyDeleteBeautiful.
ReplyDeleteI have embroidery envy. I've just returned to embroidery after a 35 year hiatus due to the impending arrival of my first grandchild. Unfortunately I'm no longer as confident and neat as I once was, but I keep reminding myself that "practice makes perfect".
ReplyDeleteYour prose is always delightful. xxx
Neat is overrated... :-)
DeleteBeautiful, embroidered tealight glasses, dear Amalia. Now is cuddly candlelight time, I wish you a wonderful autumn time. As always i love your thoughts in verses.
