Orangette and Primrose and the Allotment Wars

There is no denying that if you want to grow roses and such nothing can beat the cottage garden, but if you wish to grow proper vegetables - you must have an allotment. Orangette and Primrose have been on the list forever and when they finally got their allotment it was a bit of a let-down to find out that they were placed right next door to that grumpy old warmonger, Mr. Flood. Mr. Flood is known around the village both for his crotchety ways and his award-winning cauliflowers and he immediately took against the two.

Orangette and Primrose have been trying to rise above it ever since, putting in a large butch of carrots, enjoying a salad on a warm evening, being as pleasant as possible. But nothing doing! Mr. Flood has been throwing around some pretty wild accusations and it might even be suspected that he's found a way to tamper with their young crop. Now, our heroines are the most peaceful and loving characters, but if they happened to let slip to a young relative, a rabbit with a good appetite, that there are lovely vegetables to be had right next door, they really can't be blamed for a thoughtless comment, now can they?
