The Race

Two feisty turtles
got into a fight,
and there was no telling
who was right.

To decide on the one
and also save face,
the two friends agreed
to have a race.

The first to the tree
would be the winner,
then off to the grass
for a spot of dinner.

So, who won this race
of grit and skill?
there is no winner,
they are at it still.

  3. Such cute turtles with a delightful story to go along with them. My youngest daughter once had a land tortoise as a pet. It loved being out in the garden.

  25. So cute!! As always, your designs remind me of my mom. She was such a talented seamstress...but she also loved to cook, so I at least inherited that trait!!! :)

  30. Cute. Good representations of my two rescue turtles -- Tofu the Russian tortoise and Tutu the aquatic one. I wonder what they would do if they met each other? Tutu watches and follows Tofu from his see-through watery environment, but Tofu just wanders the balcony always in search of food or trying to climb the doorstep to come inside. :)
