Time for Bed

The time is late,
the shadows are deep,
and all little boys
should be fast asleep.

The house is quiet
except for young Ned,
who is tossing and turning
upstairs in his bed.

"Oh, why can't I sleep?
I feel so awake;
could it be that I ate
too much chocolate cake?"

Featured: my dad made
this two doll beds,
guaranteed to provide
a good night's rest.

  21. Dear Amalia, the little beds your father made have turned out beautifully (talented family!!!) and they look very cozy with pillows and blankets. A doll will definitely sleep well here if it's the right size ;-) Your poem fits in very well too.
I wish you and your loved ones good luck and health in the new year! 🥂🍀😌
All the best from Austria, Traude

  22. This took me back to my childhood -- both eating too much chocolate cake *and* remembering that I loved my doll-beds. What a lovely thing for you and your dad to work together on. (I'm guessing the blankets are your work!)

    Happy New Year to All.
