Important life lessons I've learned from
watching Hallmark movies:
1. Dreams jobs appear just when you need them the most
2. There are a lot of handsome royals walking among us
3. The more pastries you eat - the slimmer you are
4. It is always the guy in the sweater, not the one in the suit
5. And, a small town over a city every time
6. If you have a fireplace, it is always lit when you come home,
as are at least forty candles
7. And, there is no need to turn off the lights. Ever
8. Some of us are amazing bakers, the rest are either
event planners or own a bookshop
9. If you don't fall in love during the holidays, your best
friend/cousin/colleague is letting you down
10. Be nice to that lady booth seller, she is probably
a fairy godmother.

Featured: A welcome home greeting card
and a doll made of the cork of a wine bottle.
I read some of these to my hubby and we had a laugh. We have some of the When Calls the Heart DVDs and we are watching them again! The food is always so amazing and the street is so clean! lol So funny...oh and realistic!
ReplyDelete😁 I think you're right! You made me laugh.
ReplyDeleteI like the way your mind works. Creative list. Loved it!
ReplyDeleteI had to laugh reading your list. You've nailed those movies perfectly!

ReplyDeleteWhat a hoot you are, Amalia! I've been MIA in the blogosphere the last several weeks, so I haven't been keeping up with visits. This is a great one!
ReplyDeleteSo good, Amalia! You are always spot on. xo
ReplyDeleteThank you Amalia for the great morning laugh -- absolutely perfect! I honestly laughed out loud. I used to read a lot of "cozy" mysteries (the kind where the woman is an 'accidental detective' solving murder mysteries even though that is not her real job) and much of your list was true there as well -- For one thing, those ladies always seemed to own either a bookstore or flower shop or antique store and of course always in a small town. Oh yeah.
ReplyDeleteHow did you achieve that delightful little hat?!
ReplyDeleteLove the important life lessons. Thank you for sharing them. Cute painting.
ReplyDeleteLove this!! And I'm a hopeless Hallmark movie fan. The card and doll are very sweet, too. Thank you for stopping by my blog! You have a lovely blog:)
ReplyDeleteThis is so funny! Love it.
ReplyDeleteAnd the protagonist always has a change of heart and ends up saving the ranch/diner/library/museum/bookstore/vineyard!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend, Amalia!
Your list is funny because they're true!
ReplyDeleteApparently, they're filming a Hallmark Christmas movie in my "small town". LOL.
I laughed out loud while reading your post. Love the doll and the card. So sweet.

Oh my goodness, this is the truest thing I've ever read! These films are my guilty pleasure, I only watch them in November though, by 1st December I've usually had enough of them!
ReplyDeleteHa ha! So true! Nailed it.

Those are some very funny life observations from Hallmark movies. LOL I'm going to check for lit fireplaces and candles from here on out. :)
ReplyDeleteAdorable post ! Thanks for sharing with Garden Affair.
ReplyDeleteYour life lessons have certainly put a smile on my face!xxx
ReplyDeleteOh, I love watching the Hallmark Christmas shows every year. Yea, it seems to always be the guy in the sweater, huh? And definitely a small town over a city every time. I agree with that. This doll is so cute made from the cork of a wine bottle. How clever is that? I'll have to show the girls. Maybe they can make one for the kids. Love your post, dear Amalia.

Amalia - this had me absolutely laughing out loud! Spot on, my dear! Hallmark had this down long before people got stressed out by the "perfection" all around them on FaceBook! And thanks for your comment on my last blog post!
ReplyDeleteYou are so right :)
