Autumn Revisited

Autumn has arrived
and all were working hard
to clear the fallen leaves
and tidy up the yard.

The snail was going slowly
and chatting to the trees,
when suddenly he stopped
and gave a mighty sneeze.

The bees were not impressed,
who has time to sneeze?
when he's so far behind,
"hurry, if you please!"

The snail was just about
to say "so sorry, bees" -
he opened up his mouth
and... gave another sneeze.

Featured: The yard is so tidy
I thought I'd do a bit of glamping
while the weather holds.

  11. The yard needs my daily attention for the next few weeks. That's what I get for living at the forest's edge.

This little sleeping bag with a little critter inside would make a sweet gift for a child.

  16. What a cute little bed and blanket pouch. I'm glad your yard is tidy for Autumn. I'm still working on mine, as there's much to do in the mountains,
but I do keep my walkways washed down. It's nice to have a hot cup of coffee
out there on a chilly day. This is a sweet poem, Amalia.

  20. Autumn chores make me sneeze too, ha! So much raking of pine needles here to do, and preparing for a cold winter. As the leaves fall from the trees, I am enjoying the beautiful fall days, but soon the barren tree limbs will hold white adornment, and yes, I must prepare and get those leaves raked. Such a darling little prose, and sweet creation of yours! You are just so creative dear friend!
