A Funny Old Day

In the middle of winter,
on a rare sunny day,
we went out to the garden
hoping to play.

We got a game going
but all was in vain,
the sky winked at us
and started to rain.

  47. VERY cute! Your garden looks so well-loved and lush. Mine has been attacked by a harsh summer, invading grasshoppers and, I'm afraid to admit, a touch of neglect from the owner because of (in one word) 'life'. Autumn is almost here and it will be cool enough to get out there planting again.
Thank you for inspiring me with your greenery (which seems to have plenty of adorable handmade garden helpers) and thank you for popping by my blog today. xx
