Oh Brother!

A few days ago
I was told by mother
that I was getting
a little brother.

I didn't mind his
coming to stay,
I thought we'd have fun
and fight and play.

I'd give him a hug
if he was sad
and cheer him with tricks
on mom and dad.

I'd share my room,
it is big enough,
and tell him to never
touch my stuff.

But nice as I am
and hard as I try,
this brother does nothing
but eat and cry.

I'll be in France.
