An Ode to Pink


 Yellow is a color strong and bold,
White is calm but a little cold;
Gray is soft and full of style,
but Pink can always make you smile!

    The sampler is really beautiful. I'm planning to make some sort of sampler to include knitting and crochet as well as sewing. I'm still not sure what way to do it though.

      Thanks. It was the first time I worked on a patterned fabric and it had quite a different feel.

    How pretty is this, you are so talented. I really love how you used the faint check as a kind of pattern for your squares. I tried to pick a favorite but realized then that each square is a tiny treasure!

    Oh! I like! What size are the squares? I did an itibit sampler (one inch squares) of things that are meaningful to me. It was fun, but so tiny. I like that you used a plaid and still made the grid. Fun.

      The squares are a bit smaller than an inch. The size was dictated by the pattern on the fabric. It was my first time working on a plaid, in some ways easier than a plain fabric, in some ways more restricting.

    This really sweet. Can't wait to see what you make.
    Yesterday at an old general store, I saw a unique craft....take a thimble, invert it and make a tiny pincushion. They then used a ribbon to make a long necklace so you could keep the pins handy!
