Happy New Year

Why did the year
up and run
when I hardly got
anything done?

What happened?
It is a riddle,
I hope the coming year
is a bit more civil.

There is much I want
to learn and create -
the year barely started
and I'm already late.

One advice to myself
I am giving -
a little less planning
a little more living.

Featured: We are celebrating our New Year.
I made these new year cards
from recycled bits and pieces
and put a little card and
a little treat in each.
The idea came from here.

Amalia, it seems your poem was written just for me - thank you :) It seems I only put away Christmas the other day, and soon it will be that time once more. Life is rushing by - time to stop and enjoy the flowers. x

Happy New Year!! I have to say your poem hit home here, too. We have been doing more living lately, which has been lovely, but that means more planning and catch up in between. Balance...here's to more of it! And love the cards..xo

I'm not sure where the years get to, I'm not sure where summer fly to either. I like your idea of doing a little less planning and a little more living.

Happy New Year to you, Amalia. What cute pockets for gifts.

It feels odd to wish you a Happy New Year, because overhere it is still more than 3 months until next year.
But I do hope your wishes come true and I love your recycled 'cards'.
And I agree... less planning, more living!
All the best,
Sigrid
